The customer acts as a logistics company that sequences cable harnesses in the automotive industry.
Assignment
Development and production of a pallet with atypical dimensions of 1500 x 800 mm, stackable, load capacity 70 kg.
Solution
A double-skinned pallet produced by vacuum pressing. With a raised rim to prevent cables from falling out, 800 mm unloading opening on the shorter side.
The pallet will be installed in an automatic conveyor for loading cable harnesses via an automatic shelving system.
Procedure
- Pallet design and preparation of production documentation
- Production of an aluminium mould for a vacuum press
- Production of samples
- Testing of load capacity and handling
- Certified testing in a German laboratory of load-bearing capacity, stacking, deformations under load, deformations at plus and minus temperatures
- Customer’s approval
- Start of serial production of pallets
- Sequential deliveries to the logistics packaging circulation
